Who operates Denton Vinyl

Denton Vinyl is operated by Denton BBQ LLC in Texas, United States. Privacy inquiries: jeff@dentonbbq.com.

Information we process

We may process account identifiers, name, email, membership and billing status, collection entries, uploaded images, scanned covers, connected-service identifiers, technical logs and support communications. If you place a merchandise order, we process order details, contact and delivery address information.

How information is used

We use information to authenticate accounts, operate collections, identify media, connect Discogs or other services when authorized, manage subscriptions, process orders and deliveries, protect against abuse, respond to support requests and improve the service.

Service providers

Our platform uses providers including Clerk for identity and potentially subscription billing, Stripe for payment processing, Neon for database hosting, Vercel for application and image hosting, and connected services such as Discogs or Printful where you choose to use those features. Their privacy notices may also apply. We do not store full payment-card numbers on Denton Vinyl servers.

AI-assisted scans

Images or information submitted for media identification may be sent to an AI service for processing. Avoid including people, sensitive documents or private information in scans.

Visibility and sharing

Collections may be private, shared with invited collaborators or made public at your choice. Public collections and information you publish may be viewed by others. Collaborators can access information according to their permissions.

Retention and choices

We retain information while needed to provide the service and for legitimate business, security, tax or legal obligations. You can request access, correction or deletion by emailing us; some transaction records may need to be retained by law. Revoking a connected service may stop future syncing but does not necessarily erase records already imported.

Cookies, analytics and consent

Essential cookies and local storage may support sign-in, fraud prevention, security, payments, and requested app functions. Google Analytics measures page views and interactions. For U.S. visitors, it may run automatically unless you have opted out; visitors in consent-first regions receive a full privacy choices dialog before analytics is enabled. If we cannot determine your region, we use the consent-first approach. You may change your analytics choice at any time through Privacy Choices and still use the service. Your selection is saved in your browser and may need to be repeated on a new device or after clearing storage. Use the Privacy Choices link in the footer to revise your selection. Withdrawing consent prevents future optional Analytics collection in this browser; it does not retroactively erase information already collected. Contact us for privacy requests.

Advertising and sponsorships

Google AdSense is currently installed site-wide, including for signed-in and signed-out visitors, while we complete Google site verification. The ad-free benefit planned for paid Collector, Enthusiast and Archivist memberships and active Partners is temporarily not enforced. We do not sell your collection contents to advertisers. Direct sponsorships or affiliate links may be introduced separately; affiliate links, if introduced, may earn commissions at no additional cost to you.

Advertising privacy choices

Google AdSense may process IP addresses, browser or device identifiers, cookies and similar information for ad delivery, measurement, security, fraud prevention and frequency limits, including when ads are non-personalized. AdSense code is currently included on all pages and is not controlled by the separate Google Analytics preference in Privacy Choices. Appropriate consent management must be configured for regions where it is required before advertising can be served there. We plan to restore paid subscriber and Partner ad-free controls once verification is complete. See Google's privacy terms for more information.

Security

We use reasonable technical safeguards, but no online system is guaranteed completely secure.

Children, changes and questions

Denton Vinyl is not intended for children under 13. We may update this policy and post a revised date. Contact jeff@dentonbbq.com with questions or privacy requests.
